The following poem was created one line per day. I had thought I would work this way for one year and then stop. I found myself surprised when the first anniversary passed without my notice. The discipline had become part of my way of life. So I continue to write a narrative of sometimes mundane, other times extraordinary days.
Whether I stick to the five-line stanza or move into another mode, I cannot say at this point. It’s a mystery that I must allow to unfold line-by-line, day-by-day.
